My Maternity Photo Shoot

There were so many amazing images from my maternity photo shoot that it was so hard for me to choose which ones to share. These are just some of my favorites. Jeanette from To Love Photographie is a dear friend and such a talented photographer. She did the entire shoot on film which is so special. I love the look and feel of film photography. I am so grateful to her for taking the time to capture these images for me and our little one. We went to Point Dume in Malibu when I was about 30 weeks. I remember feeling big back then. Ha! It was the perfect day, in the perfect place, and Jeanette made me feel at ease. I felt very relaxed and I think it shows in the photography.

When planning a maternity shoot, I recommend finding clothing you are comfortable in. Something that makes you feel beautiful and comfortable in your skin. I also recommend choosing a place that will allow you to be relaxed and uninhibited. Ultimately, I remember the whole morning I spent with Jeanette. It was a photo shoot with a purpose but as Jeanette repositioned herself or changed film rolls, I was taking in the beauty of my surroundings and thinking about my growing little one. I was able to slow down for a minute and appreciate what we were capturing.
